As we mentioned earlier, the 2018 Porsche 911 comes in many trim levels and body styles. The basic 911 is the Carrera coupe or the open-top Cabriolet, which come with rear-wheel drive. The Targa model gets a retractable hardtop and is only offered with all-wheel drive. These models also have a high-performance S variant. Those looking for even more power can choose the Carrera GTS, which is optional for all three body styles. The GT3 is the most powerful of the rear-wheel-drive models. The 911 Turbo can be had as a coupe or convertible with standard tuning or S tuning. Adding to the choices is the Porsche Exclusive program, which allows buyers to further customize their ride.

There are seven engine choices, depending on the model and configuration. At the bottom of the engine lineup is a 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine that generates 370 horsepower and 331 lb.-ft. of torque, mated to a standard seven-speed transmission or a PDK dual-clutch seven-speed automatic. This powerplant comes with the 911 Carrera, Carrera T, Carrera 4, Carrera Cabriolet, Carrera 4 Cabriolet and Targa 4. At the top of the engine range is the 911 GT2 RS’s 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-6, which smashes a mind-blowing 700 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque, connected to the PKD dual-clutch seven-speed automatic gearbox.
