The 2020 Porsche Panamera’s unmatched practicality sets it apart from the competition. Sports car shoppers love the Panamera’s great blend of performance and everyday comfort. A spacious, four-door design also makes it an excellent choice for families. Porsche offers the new Panamera in eight trim levels: base Panamera, Panamera 4, Panamera 4S, Panamera 4 E-Hybrid, Panamera GTS, Panamera Turbo, Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid and 10 Years Edition.
When shopping for a new Panamera, sports car drivers will have multiple powertrain options. However, every model uses an eight-speed PDK automatic transmission. A 3.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine comes standard on the base Panamera. It pushes out a competitive 330 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive separates the Panamera 4S from the base model. Although the Panamera 4-E Hybrid also uses the same engine, an electric motor bumps output to 467 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. These engines are available on the all-new 10 Years Edition.
Stepping up to the Panamera GTS’ 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine brings even more performance. Porsche tunes it to develop 453 hp and 457 lb-ft of torque. While this powerplant is also featured on the Panamera Turbo, exclusive tuning enables it to crank out 550 hp and 567 lb-ft of torque. The most powerful model in the lineup is the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid. It pairs the previously mentioned turbo V8 engine with an electric motor, which results in total production of 677 hp and 626 lb-ft of torque.
Regardless of which model you choose, performance will be strong. Although the Panamera is a full-size luxury sedan, it handles the road like a genuine sports car. A plush ride also makes the new Panamera great for long-distance traveling. In terms of fuel economy, it can return up to an EPA-estimated 19 mpg city/27 mpg highway.*
Iconic Porsche styling helps separate the Panamera from the average luxury sedan. Its sporty stance and sleek profile make a bold statement. Three different body styles are available: hatchback, extended wheelbase hatchback and wagon.
Designed to seat up to four passengers, the 2020 Porsche Panamera gives everyone ample space to stretch out. This is a big advantage for drivers who regularly travel with their friends and family. A large cargo area adds to the sedan’s practicality. Some of the standard amenities include heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control and a panoramic sunroof. You’ll also be surrounded by modern technology. The PCM infotainment system features a 12.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay. While a 10-speaker stereo comes standard, a 21-speaker Burmester premium sound system is on the list of options.
A long list of advanced safety technologies is available for the new Panamera. Infrared technology helps the optional night-vision system detect dark objects. By constantly scanning the road for other vehicles, enhanced adaptive cruise control can adjust your speed accordingly.
